I am an independent writer, copy editor, fact checker, and podcast producer.
I create captivating narratives and content that introduce audiences to new ideas and companies in the lifestyle, health, and environment spaces.
I have degrees in law and journalism and have been a professional journalist for 10 years, currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have worked for National Geographic Traveller India and TIME magazine and my freelance work has been published in outlets such as National Geographic, The Guardian, Eater SF, Fodor’s Travel, Vogue Arabia, and VICE Sports.
I am endlessly curious about things around me and often come to stories by going where the questions lead me. Some questions that have led to stories include: What goes into an antivenom kit? What is New York City’s connection to cricket? What does a Himalayan desert have in common with Mars? What does it take to run a family business in a dynamic environment?
I ask questions that draw out details, and I love connecting the dots and presenting facts accurately. My work is engaging and pushes audiences to take actions, whether that’s learning more about the topic covered, trying out brands mentioned, or visiting places and doing activities that are featured in the story.
I’m communicative, thorough, dependable, and thrive on figuring out new ways to share ideas and stories!
Here’s more information about my editorial, podcast, and content work.
I also run a newsletter called Things That Parents Google that chronicles how I co-parent with my husband and the internet.
